Amsterdam is a typeface that directly refers to
my dutch-american identity. While the forms a probably
familiar to many dutch designers, these were inspired
by the monument in Battery Park, Manhattan that commemorates
the change of power and ownership of manhattan from the
dutch to the british americans. The story is told on one
side in english and on the other side in dutch.
